We've got two stumpers this time: 1) Our patron remembers a book that had
pictures of buildings from different periods of history, including a castle,
a store, maybe a regular house. The book had flaps that you would lift to
see what's inside. It wasn't a "cross section" book with cutaway views, but
had actual flaps, like "Spot" has. He remembers one scene where you lifted
the flap in the castle and saw the "bathroom." 2) All we have on this
one is: "Some kids wake up to find that they are the only ones in their
town." If either or both ring a bell, please let me know. Thanks...

Hey, I have a patron who grew up in England and
remembers a children's book (age range 9-12) about a
neanderthal boy named Little Nose and his pet mammoth,
Two Eyes. He thinks it may be a series of books. He
can't remember a title or author. Any clues? If
anyone knows about this book or books please email me
at n_opalko@yahoo.com. Thanks.

A patron remembers a book from the 50s that may have been titled
365 Bedtime Stories for Children. It is NOT the in-print title
of the the same name. The stories were original stories, one for
each day of the year, with themes that wove in and out.
The one she especially remember was about tumbleweeds. We need
to to verify the title for ILL or buying it from an OP dealer.
