I posted the following message last week, but it appears to have gone to

the file 13 in cyperspace? I'll try again - TIA!

Hello and Help! Maybe I should know this - is sounds like one that

would be easily recognizable - but alas, it doesn't bring a title to my

mind! Patron describes a book he has not read, but has heard read -

doesn't know title or author but is confident the main character is a

rabbit named Bearington (sp?). This rabbit is helpful to all other

animals in the story -helps squirrels gather nuts, etc. It even

provides warm shelter for animals needing a place to sleep. However,

when rabbit needs help, none of the other animals will help him and he

dies in the cold (yikes!)! The patron believes it's classified as a

children's book but is unsure - I looked in A-Z and did a keyword on our

system and found nothing - hope someone out there can identify this

unusual sounding book! Thanks!

Thanks to all those who answered back with:

DON'T TOUCH MY ROOM by Patricia Lakin "The boy in this book

takes over a small closet that looks like a cubby hole and he plays with a

"city" that has a tram suspended on a line."

I have a patron who is looking for a picture book about a young boy who is

expecting or has a new baby sibling and must share his room. He decides to

take over a "cubby hole" in the room as his own. There is a toy pictured

that he plays with that is something like a train that rides on a string.

I have tried A to Zoo and our professional staff's brains to no avail. I

would appreciate it if you know the book to send me the title and author.

Thanks. Tanya

Dear PUBYACkers,

Hi! This is being cross-posted so please excuse the duplication. I want

to thank everyone who made suggestions of Renaissance Juvenile Fiction

titles. Here's the list of titles recommended for Juvenile Fiction about

the Renaissance. I was unable to send my attachment so the list just

includes author & title. Again, thank you to the many folks that sent

Last night we had a patron looking for books on adoption. She was looking

for books to read to her own little girl (about 3 years old). This

patron is looking picture books that will help her daughter understand

what it will be like having an adopted brother or sister.

We have found many books explaining adoption to the child, but nothing

for the siblings involved. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

We have another patron looking for a picture book about a little witch.

She remembers reading the book in the late 1960's. In this book there is

a recipe for "Magic Cake" -- which is a type of Pumpkin Dessert with cream

cheese frosting. We have checked the "Little Witch" series by Glovach and

the "Old Witch" series by Devlin. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your time!
