I am trying to gather statistics to include with the grant proposal. I would appreciate any information you could supply on any of the following questions: * What percentage of you library's book budget is allocated to the children's department? * What percentage of your children's book budget is spent on non-fiction? * What is the average age of non-fiction titles in your collection? * Do you have a rule-of-thumb age for weeding in non-fiction? For example, 10 years for science materials etc. * Average cost of a children's non-fiction title purchased. * Any quotation on the importance of current non-fiction titles in the children's area. Thank you for your assistance. I will post a hit if it would be helpful to someone else. Jo-Anne C. *********************************************************** ___________________________________________________________ *********************************************************** Harry Potter trivia questions: Below is a list of trivia questions and answers that we've been using at our Harry Potter programs. We did one separate program on each book, so my questions reflect that. You can use them any way you like: as is, mixed and matched, whatever. Some we placed in categories, some are just listed in chronological order from the books. Some questions aren't particularly trivial, but some are for the real die-hard fans who know all the little details. Anything in parenthases was considered "optional" information; if the kid knew it, great. If not, it was okay. And you can certainly accept other phrasing of answers than what is listed here. I found it easiest to put each question on a note card and read them that way, but do whatever is best for you. Let me know if you have any questions about what's here. Have fun!
