You folks really are fabulous!

Thanks so much to Pat Vasilik, Jen (Vanston) Marin, Cindy Sampson Fleet,
Catherine Bridge, and Orvella Fields for solving this stumper.

Little Lost Angel is the title of the book about an angel who gets lost on
earth and gives her harp, halo, and wings away to the needy.  The author is
Janet Field Curtis Heath. The illustrator is Janet Laura Scott, and it was
published by Rand McNally in 1953.

My patron will be so pleased.

Thanks again,

I have a patron who is grandmother who is going to have to have her 3 year
old grandchild forcibly removed from her sons home because of the mother's
drug addiction and the endangerment of the child.  She is wanting some books
she can read to her grand-daughter about bad choices and consequences and
also about a child being removed from the home because of a parent's
illness.
I am STUMPED!

I have a patron looking for two books, a book and sequel or just related by
characters.  They were read to her in 4th grade (about three years ago) and
she thought they were new books at the time and the story might take place
in England.
She thinks the cover of the first had several children, probably siblings,
and a man sitting around a crystal ball.  There is also a pet owl involved.
"Weeping willow" might be in the cover illustration or title.  The children
find a ring and this enables them to go to a parallel universe.  They go
through a secret door in the old house they live in.
In the 2nd book, a cousin comes to live with them.  The cousin goes into a
locked room, a ghost comes in and it is the cousin's destiny to find the
ghost's mother.  The cover of this book might have a purple background with
a girl walking on a tightrope and in the background a boy swinging on a
trapeze.  Also in this 2nd book, a boy is buried in the hole someone has dug
by the old house but he doesn't die.
Thanks for your help.

Would anyone happen to have a copy of a rap based on the "Three Bears" =
story? All I can remember about it was that the chorus had the baby bear =
saying "Bee bop a ree bear, said the little wee bear".  It is excellent =
and I would like to use it in conjunction with the story.  Any help =
would be greatly appreciated.

Please email me directly,
With appreciation,

I've checked A to Zoo and various internet sources to no avail.

Patron describes this book, which she read in the late 80's or early 90's,
as follows:

Farmer and his wife are poor and live on a turnip farm.  The husband gets
sick of turnips so the wife uses the yarn from his sweater to make a pair of
socks.  She gives the socks to a couple down the road and in return she
gives them cheese and milk. This goes on until the husband no longer has a
sweater.  Meanwhile, the woman down the road has used the socks to make a
sweater for her husband and it is too big for him so for Christmas she gives
the sweater to the poor couple.

Any suggestions from the collective brain?

Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving.
