Patron came in this morning looking for the story "Runaway Christmas
Tree. Said her daughter had read it in a book when she was about 10 (36
years ago) and it may have been in a school literature book. Checked
all the usual sources including the internet, WorldCat. The daughter is
having memory problems and could tell us little about the story except
what she thought was the title. I know this is little to go on but any
help is much appreciated. Thanks. E-mail directly to me.

Patron is seeking a book she read maybe 40 years ago. A Boy lives on a =
wharf (possibly Boston Harbor.) He can change into different animals - =
she's certain he changed into a bird and a fly. There were two books in =
the series. It was not a picture book. She pretty sure the author's
=
name was not at the beginning of the alphabet because she remembers the =
book's location on the shelf. Any help would be appreciated. I've =
checked A to Zoo.
Peace and blessings,
Cathy Norman
