Thanks to everyone who had suggestions for the twins
having adventures around the world.
The series was by Lucy Fitch Perkins dating back as
early as 1911. Some of the titles were The Norwegian
Twins, Dutch Twins, Pioneer Twins. We actually still
have the Spartan Twins, C.1918, renewed 1946.
Many are OP.
This is a great service to find out about the oldies
but goodies. Thanks again.
Sushila

Hello All-

I have a patron seeking the title of a chapter book with the following
description:  a little girl tells her friends that her best friend is
blond-haired and blue-eyed, but she is lying - there is no best friend with
this description.  When she is asked to prove it, she has to search for
someone to match that description.  She finally finds a mannequin that fits
the look.

Sounds vaguely familiar to me, but I can't figure it out.  Please send
responses directly to me at jgulliks@stout.dubuque.lib.ia.us

Thanks for your assistance!

To all,

Another stumper - hoping you all (the collective mind) can help (once
again).  Please reply to me directly and thanks so much.
Patron looking for a series of books he read in the 1960's about children
we sneak by means of a river into a domed alien world where humans all wear
collars (the rebel children do not).  He thinks there may be 3 or 4 books
in the series.  Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Martha Morgan
