I think this has been discussed before but the archives are down. How do
other libraries reach out to homeschoolers? Do you have special sections or
programs?

Does anyone remember an Easy book about a little girl who loves to draw and
color and keeps asking her mother for more and more markers?

Hello,

I have a patron who is looking for a children's book
she read approximately 25-30 years ago.  It's about a
goldfish who is overfed by it's owner until it
outgrows it's goldfish bowl, and then the sink, and
then the bathtub...(there are probably other homes in
between each of those).  If you can name this book,
please email me off-list.

Many, many thanks in advance.

Dear Collective Brain --

I'm getting ready to start an ESL collection for the Youth Dept. I've done
some research and found some great sites,  and some great resource
guides but I'd like to hear from anyone out there who has recently built a
collection.  A few things I'm interested in knowing:

- do you have a favorite series or set of ESL materials?
- what's your favorite source for ESL materials?
- what's your ratio of books vs. AV materials in your collection?
- what's the average age of your ESL collection patrons?

Anything else you'd like to share is appreciated!  TIA

Erin

Hello Great Brain,

Does anyone remember the flannelboard story "Clancy the Clown"?  I
remember doing it years ago, but can't find the pieces I used or the
story that went with them.

Any help would sure be appreciated.

Thanks,

Toni

I have tried all the traditional resources to no avail.....

A patron came in looking for a book either entitled Ghost Dog or Ghost Hound
that he read in about 1958.  (He was about 8 years old).  The one thing he
is sure of was that it was a chapter-type book (novel) and that the central
character was a dog named Potlicker.

TIA for any assistance.  Please reply to me off list.
