I want to do a preschool storytime about hair. Any great ideas out
there for books, felt boards, fingerplays, songs, crafts?
Thanks in advance!

We play animal BINGO. We make up a 5x5 grid on card stock paper for the
boards. Then used stickers of various animals to place randomly on the
boards.
On separate pieces of paper we have all the animal names which we draw from
a
hat or bag. The boards were make about 5 or so years ago and the kids love
it
so much we have to play at least once each summer during our games week.
have fun!

Dear Childlit friends:
I'm sad to report that Zena Sutherland, Professor Emerita of the University
of Chicago, died yesterday afternoon. As most of you may know, Zena was the
longtime editor of The Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books and
author of the textbook _Children and Books_. She was also a great teacher
and friend and will be much missed.

You can do a bingo game in powerpoint. It is too hard.

I'm putting together a picture bingo program, which I thought would be a
breeze, but am having trouble finding templates I can use and/or modify.
Does anyone know of a website that would allow me to print up
boards? =
I'm
thinking there might be something akin to puzzlemaker (which does not have
bingo). Any ideas? I need to come up with 5 separately-themed sets. Any =
help
will be much appreciated! You can reply to Melinda at

THANKS!!!!!

We don't use the Janway bags but we do have some audio cassettes in similar
bags. We place a note in the check in field of our database system.
We
have
seen other library's in our system put a content list on the bags
themselves.
We do charge a one dollar fee if the bag is not returned.

Melinda-
One possiblity is to use publisher to make bingo cards and then copy and
paste the pictures on the squares and print.

Hoping someone out there can uncover where this line is from. The =

Hello all,
I am new to the list and a branch services librarian.
Because of my position in the library and the population our branch
serves...a large part of my time is spent in YA services...I am curious as
to whether or not anyone has tried any programs geared towards seniors or
older adults. I am hoping to expand the sercies at the branch so that we
can reach more people in the branch's area.
If anyone has had any successful programs and wishes to share ideas, I'd
really appreciate it.
Thank You,
William

Just a heads-up -- There's a virus going around
PUBYAC. I don't know what it does if you get it, but
it looks like a legitimate address with a legitimate
subject, like the date or an SOS. You will know it
because the body has no message, just an attachment.
Do not download it- just delete it and you are fine.
If you do get it, it sends itself to all the people
you write to- I got it from eauclaire.lib....so you
might want to scan your computer.
