Hi- I've got a patron looking for a series of large illustrated books (the
size of the "I Spy" or "Eyewitness" books) she said that each one deals with
a different part of speech.  She said that "they've been around for ages"
and that they're "famous".
I'm stumped and would appreciate any leads. Please e-mail me off-list.
Thanks!
Genevieve

I have on occasion, had a child in Story Time who doesn't seem interested.
One would crawl under the table and sit there until coloring time, one would
just sit with his back to me and not get up.  Some do not take part in the
action rhymes, stretches, exercises, etc.  I would never expel a child for
disinterest.  The children are picking up a lot from the group, even if it
does not seem to be so.

If the child is being disruptive of the group, that's different.  I have had
the "I don't think your child is ready" talk with parents over the years,
and as long as it's diplomatic, they do not seem to  mind.
