Hi,
I have a patron looking for a picture book based on the life of a real =
artist, about an elderly woman whose children are grown, and to keep from =
forgetting her memories she starts painting them. My patron bought the =
book on a Barnes and Noble bargain table last year, (and has since =
misplaced the book)  so publication date is probably recent.  The art is =
supposed to be very beautiful.
If anyone has any idea what this book might be, please email me.
I cannot track this one down!

Thanks,

Phoebe Carter

Hello!  A friend came in looking for a fairly new picture book (within the
past few years) about a janitor that has to clean up footprints from the
floor.  Every time he cleans it up more kids come through and leave their
footprints.  The pictures were kind of shiny and it was too cute.  Do you
remember what the book is?

I checked online and in our catalog using all sorts of keywords but wasn't
having any luck.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

Dear PUBYAC:

I would like some help identifying "any children's books about graffiti."
The patron means "graffiti" as urban art created by marginalized youth - as
oppossed to viewing it merely as "crime."  And the material can be fiction
or non-fiction.
Thanks so much,
