Our reference librarian has been looking for a good YA series on the subject with no luck. Any ides out there? Off the top of my head I came up with = some of the obvious ones ie Guess How Much I Love You, I'll Love You = Forever, Mama Do You Love Me? Any other suggestions? We have a local theater group looking to give us a grant to sponsor a group, and we'd like something the kids haven't seen before. We're looking to spend about $500. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated - we hate to buy a pig in a poke! Thanks. We have a patron who is looking for a book which she remembers from about 10 years ago. There is a lion in the book that is named "Cirdah" and the title might have the word drum or drums in it. The book is not a picture book. The patron remembers it as J or Y fiction. The book is not one of the C.S. Lewis books, nor is it the Lion King. If you can be of assistance, please e-mail to: beckersu@oplin.org, OR connorke@oplin.org Thanks! ------------------------------ From: debbie brightwell <debjbright@yahoo.com> To: pubyac@prairienet.org Subject: stumper - rabbit saves forest friends from fire MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Date: Thu, 11 Dec 2003 20:53:17 CST Hello Friends: Does anyone know this one? Patron is looking for an older book (doesn't know how old,) where a little rabbit saves the other forest animals from a fire by leading them out of the forest by crawling low under the flames and smoke. The only other thing she remembers is the animals sitting on a fence rail at the end of the book to thank the rabbit for saving their lives. Thanks in advance! You guys have never let me down on a stumper yet. Debbie Debbie Brightwell Children's Librarian Irving Public Library System Irving, Texas __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New Yahoo! There are several girls in the story and they play at the playground on slides holding their teddy bears. The song, Make new friends but keep the old is in the book. This is a good as I could get. Any ideas? Darla Sparta Free Library ------------------------------ From: "Jean Gullikson" <JGulliks@stout.dubuque.lib.ia.us> To: <pubyac@prairienet.org> Subject: Dewey or Don*t We?
