Something along the same lines, being historical and fun with activities. I thought about basing it on Explorers/Adventurers. Any ideas? Thank you so much for all of the feedback to my question on library card restrictions to minors. This seems to have struck a nerve. I have yet to read through all of the responses, but my meeting which will discuss this issue is this Thursday. I will get back to all of you with a synopsis of the answers I have received. Thanks again! I really appreciate it! This is a great group! Thanks so much to everyone who responded. I still could use some more responses so if you have a minute please send me (off list) a short description of what your library system does. I am interested in what is on the label identifying the author, is it last name or first letter of last name, or first two, three or more letters? Also are your books filed in alphabetical order or are they in order by first letter, first two letters, or first three letters of last name? Finally, how do you feel about the way your system does things. Thanks so much. I will compile results and post. If you have time, could you please answer a few = questions: 1. Who tracks your departments bibliographies for currency? 2. Who updates them? 3. How are they presented...genre/grade levels? 4. How are they formated? Tri-fold, 81/2x11, folded... 5. Is there just one master copy for the public to use, or do you make = copies available for them to take? 6. Are they annotated? Any other comments would be greatly appreciated!
