To: "PUBYAC" <pubyac@lists.prairienet.org>
Hello again everyone !
This is the first message to the entire subscriber list on the new PUBYAC
MailMan software. I've subscribed everyone according to what
"mode" their
subscription was set to in the old Listproc software. You can change this
mode if you prefer, using the links and password found in the Welcome
Message that you should have received.
Everything went quite well--nothing catastrophic happened as far as I can
tell.
Let me know if you're having problems, have read the FAQs on the Main PUBYAC
website, and still can't figure out the problem.
Please begin posting discussion messages to the new PUBYAC. That address
is: pubyac@LISTS.prairienet.org.
You don't have to put "lists" in
capitals--I just wanted you to see the difference clearly.

To those of you who were subscribed, then unsubscribed, then resubscribed to
PUBYAC today:
Sorry about that. I switched the modes last night, but the last one didn't
"take" and you all got subscribed as getting the Digests when your
previous
mode was individual messages. So instead of making all of you go in and
change your mode, I decided the better part of valor was to mass unsubscribe
you and then mass re-subscribe you getting individual messages.
The confusion now might be that you have TWO Welcome Messages, BUT the only
valid one will be the most recent. The password in the older one will not
be valid anymore.
Again, this applies ONLY to those of you who received two Welcome messages
today and who were getting the old PUBYAC as individual messages.

Patrick Jones, would you please post to the list the "100 things for
teen volunteers to do other than stamp date due cards?" Several
people
have emailed me directly for this information, because of your email
response. Infortunately, I do not have it so I thought we should go to
the souce. Thanks for your help!
Sorry for the confusion.

Just a reminder; if anyone would like a copy of the
list "100 things for teen volunteers to do other than
stamp date due cards", just email me. The list, as
well as lots of info about setting up teen volunteer
programs, will be included in the forthcoming 3rd
edition of Connecting Young Adults and Libraries.
