We have started counting computer use as circulation due to our drop in circ. Our board of trustees has been very cooperative with us in this.

We have purchased several online refrences (Grolier and Britannica Online) to statisfy the need of patrons, esp children doing research, to use computers. If you can't beat em'...

We have been asked many times by patrons to sign up for computer time to do research only to find what they need (once we get them to tell us, which sometimes takes a while) in a print resource. A bit frustrating, we think. However, the most important and the most aggrivating part of our jobs, I think, is helping a patron find what they need when they don't know what they need!!

Just my 2 cents...
